Gearing Up for TWO Summer Tours

In spite of Grandpa's getting sicker and sicker, and our frequent trips to Utah, we still had responsibilities that kept us busy at home. INSANELY busy. Like getting Dance Alliance's show, the Masterpiece, ready for its premiere at Extravadance at the end of June, and participating in Reburg's Summerfest, who needed a last minute replacement for their hip hop team so they called us in a panic and Gary sent his Dance Alliance kids in to be the official reps.

Gary's DA show was themed "the Masterpiece." Not only were all the dances inspired by other works of art, but the Dance Department were able to commission the Fine Art department to paint pictures  inspired by his dances! And then they displayed them in the auditorium with the other pictures of the dance-inspiring-art, turning the performance venue basically into a multifaceted museum.  Pretty cool.

Shayna was the cutest little Snow White for the hip hop number! Kamrie was a wickedly delightful standin for Dani who was usually the Wicked Queen. And don't you love the costumes?!?
 Shake your groove thing!
Then our Festival team was finishing up our show and had our first performances at Summerfest as well.
Nanny got to come see some of them and we loved having her!

 I love our Charleston number!

Festival is a lot of work! And craziness! Yes, that is Tara using James as a mop, with Katherine and Cody as the background dancers, below.
